When Ion Tiriac, a Romanian businessman, former Olympic ice hockey and tennis champion, designs a sports club, it must be great. Just how the restaurant of the club should be.

Surrounded by a 200 ha forest in the north of Bucharest, the Stejarii Country Club covers an impressive area of approximately 22,000 m2. Humbly named the Pool Club, the 200-seat restaurant borders the poolside.

The interior reinterprets the club’s codes: leather sofas, comfortable velvet armchairs, thick carpets. Beautiful objects and sports themed books fill large stained wood bookcases.

There, you can eat lobster served with a mountain of fries, as well as small quinoa  salads, according to your coach’s regime.

The identity is an aquatic reinterpretation of that of the club, simple and fresh.
