Alongside the slope of the Verdons, the altitude restaurant Le Chalet de Pierres is a real institution in Courchevel. The will of our client was to renew the chalet’s identity while keeping the traditional codes and uniqueness of the place. Ancient woods, carved stone, master fireplace… The architecture and decoration of this former Maurienne station reflectS perfectly the cultural heritage of Courchevel ski resort. In order to remain faithful to its anchorage, we considered the history and the global experience to achieve each element that will embody its universe, and to imagine coherent spaces and a consistent identity.

We kept the historical decoration’s strengths and redefined the existing furniture with tapestry works by Laligant in Lyon, playing with retro patterns from Jab house. The benches where we sit in family also vibrates through the interplay of materials on the cushions. Brass touches are brought through new wall lights and candelabras on each table. The family house storytelling is enhanced by artworks and decorative accessories, walls covered with pictures, shelf spaces of old books, vintage photographies and objects displayed here and there as if they were gathered over generations.

The graphic identity of the establishment has also been harmonized by simplifying design and prioritizing informations.
This new identity was applied to the menus and all the customers products: matchboxes, slippers,… The new scented candles we developed have a range of autumn scents: warm notes of cinnamon and pepper blend with pinewood and balsam fir herbaceous accords, with a sensual background of vanilla and wood.
